Cliprame vs Vidyard

A Vidyard alternative that builds a personal page for every prospect.

Vidyard is one of the best-known names in sales video. If you’re looking at alternatives, you probably already send video and want something it doesn’t give you, or want it for less. Here’s where Cliprame is different, where Vidyard is the better choice, and how to test Cliprame on a real prospect list before you decide.

The short answer

Choose Cliprame if

You want each prospect to get their own researched page, not just a link: their name, their company’s logo, a section on why your offer fits their company, and a lead score that tells you who to call first. It also suits small teams: Studio is one price for up to 5 people.

Choose Vidyard if

You need native CRM and sales-engagement integrations, SSO for a large team, or AI-generated video for each prospect with AI avatars.

The main difference

Campaigns: one video, a researched page for each person.

Most sales-video tools let you record a video and send a personal link with the prospect’s name on the thumbnail. Cliprame does that too. Campaigns goes further: you record one video, and Cliprame builds a personal page for each person on your list, then tells you what each of them did.

One video, a personal page for each person

Paste names, emails and companies, or upload a CSV from your CRM or spreadsheet, with the columns in any order. Duplicates and bad email addresses are listed for you, not silently dropped. Each page opens with your photo and name, a “For [their company logo]” badge and a headline written for them, followed by the video, your note with one clear button, and a “What happens next” section. Write the wording once with variables like {first_name} and {company|your team}, and preview the page as anyone on the list. Free accounts can add 25 people to a campaign; paid plans, 500.

A “Why {company}” section from their own website

Give Cliprame one or two sentences about what you offer. For each prospect’s company, AI reads that company’s own website and adds a section to the page: what they do, and three specific ways your offer fits them. It uses only their website; if the site can’t be read, the section doesn’t appear. People at the same company share one result, Gmail and Outlook addresses get none, and you review each one before sending. Free accounts research 5 companies per campaign; paid plans research everyone.

A lead score and a next step for everyone

Every person gets a score from 0 to 100 and a label: Hot, Warm or Cold, from how much they watched and what they did. Two signals stand out: watched again, and probably forwarded (a second browser watched their link; Cliprame knows it was forwarded, not who received it). Each person gets a suggested next step, from “Call now” to “Send a reminder”, and you get one email per person when they turn hot.

Follow-up drafts based on what they watched

One click writes a short follow-up from what that person did. If they rewatched your pricing chapter, the draft offers to go through pricing. You see the facts it used; the email itself never mentions the tracking. It opens in your email app with To, Subject and text filled in.

A thumbnail that moves

Each email carries a clickable thumbnail playing a 2-second loop of your video, with their greeting and your name on top. Protected videos use a still image, and Outlook for Windows desktop shows only the first frame.

What Campaigns doesn’t do

  • It doesn’t send the emails itself. One click adds everyone to a lemlist, Instantly or Apollo sequence with their own link and moving thumbnail, or copy each person’s ready email, or export a CSV.
  • It doesn’t make a different video for each person: no AI avatars or voice clones. The page, thumbnail, wording and research are personal; the video is the one you recorded.
  • Campaign activity doesn’t sync to HubSpot yet. Alerts from individual videos do reach HubSpot.

Being fair

Where Vidyard is stronger

Vidyard has been around much longer, and in several areas it’s the safer choice today.

AI video for each prospect
Vidyard offers AI avatars that create videos from a script, and personalised scripts for whole lists. Cliprame doesn’t personalise the video itself.
Integrations
Vidyard offers native CRM and marketing-automation integrations on its Teams and Enterprise plans, and works with Salesloft. Cliprame connects HubSpot, Salesforce and Slack directly, but Salesforce is set up by your admin rather than installed from AppExchange, and sales-engagement tools go through webhooks, Zapier or Make.
Where you record
Vidyard offers more ways to record and send. Cliprame records in the browser, as an installable web app, and with its free Chrome extension, which adds a Video button to Gmail; there’s no desktop or mobile app.
A more generous free plan
Vidyard’s free plan records 5 videos a month of up to 30 minutes, plus AI videos. Cliprame’s free plan hosts 5 videos of up to 1 minute, with a watermark.
Large teams
Vidyard has a Teams plan for 5+ people and Enterprise with SSO. Cliprame’s Studio plan has a fixed 5 seats, with no extra seats and no SSO.
Track record
Vidyard has a large customer base and many published reviews. Cliprame is new and has no published case studies yet.

If any of these is a requirement, Vidyard is likely the better fit today.

Other differences worth knowing

Recording that makes you sound prepared
Screen and camera in one take, with a teleprompter only you can see. Delete stumbles from the transcript and the video closes the gap. A Delivery Coach points out filler words, and captions follow your voice word by word.
A heatmap of what they rewatched, skipped or left
Beyond who watched and for how long: three rows across your video showing rewatches, skips and drop-offs, so you know which part of the pitch needs work.
Lead forms that pass UTM source to HubSpot
A form before, during or after the video. Hidden fields like {utm_source} and {page_url} are filled on the server, then sent to a HubSpot form or any URL, including Salesforce Web-to-Lead.
Locks for confidential pricing and proposals
A PIN, a password or a one-time email code that can be limited to one company, like @northwind.com. The video isn’t loaded into the page until it’s unlocked.

Questions

Does Cliprame send the emails for me?

No. Cliprame builds the page, the thumbnail and the email for each person. You send it from your own email or your outreach tool, or export a CSV for a mail merge.

Does each prospect get a different video?

No. Everyone sees the video you recorded. What changes per person is the page, the headline and message, the thumbnail greeting and the company research. Vidyard is the better choice if you want AI-generated video for each person.

Do prospects need an account to watch?

No. They open the link and press play.

Will prospects know they’re being tracked?

Yes. Every share page tells viewers that their viewing is measured, and they can choose “Don’t measure me”. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control switch tracking off, and viewers in the EU and UK get no saved viewer ID.

Does Cliprame work with Salesforce?

Yes. Cliprame logs every watch, click and booking as a completed activity on the matching Lead or Contact, and creates the Lead if it’s new. Your Salesforce admin connects it once with an External Client App, which takes about 10 minutes. There’s no package to install from AppExchange yet.

Can I try Campaigns on the free plan?

Yes. Free accounts can run a campaign for up to 25 people, with company research for 5 companies.
