Use case · Onboarding

Onboard every customer with a video made for them.

New customers need the same few walkthroughs, and your team repeats them on every call. A personal video page with chapters answers the common questions, and you see who watched and who has not started, so you step in with the people who need help.

No card. Your prospect doesn’t need an account.

The problem

The same walkthrough, on every call.

Customer success explains setup, the first workflow and where to find help again and again. A generic help-centre video helps, but nobody can tell whether a particular customer has seen it.

A personal page per customer keeps the video, their name and your next step together, and the viewing data shows who is moving and who is stuck before they ask.

How it works

Three steps with Cliprame

  1. Step 1

    Record the walkthrough once

Screen and camera in one take, with chapters for setup, the first workflow and where to get help, so customers can jump to the part they need.

  2. Step 2

    Give each customer a page

Paste your new customers or upload a CSV. Each gets a page and link with their name and company, and you can lock it with an email code.

  3. Step 3

    See who watched

The campaign shows who opened it, who pressed play and who watched to the end, and Slack tells your team when a customer finishes.

What you get

What it does for onboarding

  • A page per customer

The same video with their name and company on it and your note under it, so it reads as written for them.

  • Who hasn’t started

The campaign funnel runs from added to opened, played and watched to the end, so you see who has not pressed play.

  • Where they get stuck

Drop-off and rewatch heatmaps show the step most customers go back to or leave at, which is the part to explain better.

  • Update it in place

When the product changes, edit the video and update it. Everyone with the link sees the new version, and the old one is kept for 30 days.

  • On your help centre too

Embed the same video in your docs, with plays tracked on each page. Limit it to your own domains on paid plans.

  • A kickoff call in the player

Show your booking page, such as Calendly or Cal.com, inside the player at the moment you choose.

Good practice

Getting the most out of it

  1. Keep each walkthrough under three minutes. Cover one job per video: setup, the first workflow, then help.
  2. Use chapters. Customers jump to what they need, and you see which chapters they chose.
  3. Add one next step. A button such as “Book a kickoff call” or “Open your workspace”.
  4. Act on silence. Someone who has not pressed play after a few days is the one to call.
  5. Fix it once. Update the video in place when the product changes instead of re-sending links.

What to know first

  • Cliprame is not a learning platform. There are no quizzes, certificates or lessons in sequence.
  • It does not send reminders or emails. You send from your own tools, and Cliprame tells you who watched.
  • It shows who watched, not whether they completed setup in your product.

Start free: the full viewer analytics and campaigns of up to 25 people are on every plan. Paid plans start at $29/month and raise campaigns to 500 people, with locks, longer videos and all your integrations. See the pricing page.

Questions

Can I send each new customer a personal onboarding video?

Yes. Make a campaign with your new customers and each gets their own page and link with their name and company, with the same recorded walkthrough.

Can I see who hasn’t watched?

Yes. The campaign shows how many were added, opened the page, pressed play and watched to the end, and lists the people who have not started.

What if my product changes after I send it?

Edit the video and update it in place. Everyone with the link sees the new version, your analytics stay, and the previous version is kept for 30 days.

Can I put the same videos in my help centre?

Yes. Embed them with two lines of code, and plays are tracked by page. On paid plans you can limit them to your own domains.

Is it a learning management system?

No. It has no quizzes, certificates or course sequences. It is personal video with tracking, which suits walkthroughs and training that does not need grading.

Welcome your next customer with a video.

Make a page for each new customer and see who watched.
