Use case · Marketing
Put video on your campaigns, and see what it drives.
Most teams can see that a campaign video was played, but not who watched, which page it sat on or whether it led to a lead. Cliprame embeds a tracked player on your own pages, captures leads with a form, sends the UTM source to your CRM and shows which pages and videos get watched.
No card. Your prospect doesn’t need an account.
The problem
A play count doesn’t connect to pipeline.
Marketing makes the video, publishes it and gets a number of views. What it can’t see is who those people were, which page they were on, or whether they became a lead.
A tracked embed fixes the gap. Plays are tied to the page they happened on, a form can sit in front of the video and pass the campaign source to your CRM, and the same events can go to Google Analytics or Tag Manager.
How it works
Three steps with Cliprame
- Step 1
Embed the player
Paste two lines of code on your landing page, as an inline player or a button that opens it in a popup. Limit it to your own domains on paid plans.
- Step 2
Add a form and a button
Ask for a name and work email before, during or after the video, with hidden fields such as UTM source and campaign filled in for you, and add a call to action under it.
- Step 3
See what it drove
Open the video to see plays by page, who watched, who filled in the form, and where viewers stopped. Events also go to Google Analytics or Tag Manager.
What you get
What you see about your campaign video
Plays by website and page
Where views came from: the share link and each website the video is embedded on, with the top pages of each.
How visitors move through the page
Turn on the page heatmap in the embed code to see how far visitors scroll, where the video sits and where they click. It is off unless you choose it, and records no text.
Named viewers when you can
Links with a short code, or an email code or form, name the viewer. Everyone else is grouped by browser, not named.
Leads with the campaign source
Form answers go to a HubSpot form or any web address, with UTM source, medium and campaign passed in hidden fields.
Events for your analytics
Starts, progress, completions and clicks go to Google Analytics or Tag Manager from the embed, with no viewer details. Turn it off per video if you prefer.
The whole workspace on Enterprise
Insights compares videos and periods, shows the campaign funnel and reads deals back from Salesforce or HubSpot to show revenue where someone watched first.
Good practice
Getting the most out of it
- Put the video where the decision is made. The page heatmap shows how far visitors scroll to it. A video no one scrolls to can’t help.
- Use one form, with the fields you need. Every extra field costs sign-ups. Name and work email are usually enough.
- Tag every campaign link. UTM tags travel with the form into your CRM, so you can tell which campaign produced the lead.
- Watch where people stop. A drop-off at the same second for everyone is the part to rewrite.
- Tell visitors it is measured. Every Cliprame player says so, and your own privacy policy and consent banner should cover the page heatmap if you turn it on.
What to know first
- Cliprame does not build your landing pages. You embed the player in the pages you already have.
- Viewers are grouped by browser, not named, unless they use a personal link, confirm an email or fill in a form. Browsers with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not measured.
- The page heatmap records positions, not the page itself, so it draws an outline of your page, and it only runs where you turn it on.

Questions
Can I embed a Cliprame video on my own website?
Yes. Paste two lines of code on your page, as an inline player or a button that opens a popup. Plays are tracked on your page, and on paid plans you can limit the video to your own domains.
Will it show which page the video was watched on?
Yes. Where views came from lists each website the video is embedded on, with the top pages of each. Only the page path is kept, never the query string.
Can a form pass UTM tags to HubSpot?
Yes. A form can post to a HubSpot form or any web address, with hidden fields such as UTM source, medium and campaign filled in from the page address.
Does it work with Google Analytics and Tag Manager?
Yes. The embed sends starts, progress, completions and button clicks to Tag Manager or Google Analytics 4, with the video’s title but no viewer details. You can turn it off for a video.
Is the page heatmap on by default?
No. You turn it on with one attribute in the embed code, it records only positions, never text, and it skips visitors whose browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Mention it in your own privacy policy.
